I liked that I now know that i should be careful with which hardware I have, not all software matches every hardware. I like the effectiveness of software not only can it help my instruction but it can also help the students. i.e. tutor, mind tool, support for conversation. Also picking a software out of the blue can damage not only me but my students as well, making sure the software is valid to my teachings is important.I also liked the 'Locate Resource' section on pg 196. the more I think about it, there are a lot more resources out there that i can use, for example videos, demonstrations, and Cd's that come with textbooks.
I agree with you on that. Yes If you dont know the software then It could hurt you, the students, and school. There are so many more resources out there now then what we had back then when we were younger.
ReplyDeleteChapter 8 was pretty helpful with suggesting some good resources. Lots of inofrmation about types of technology that can be integrated into the classroom.
ReplyDeleteThis chapter definitely made it clear that it is necessary to research a software and preview it before using it in the classroom.
