Final Reflection
Using Windows Movie Maker was easy this time, the only hard part was deciding what was going to be in my video. I definatly like windows movie maker and will use it in my classroom, and encourage my students to use it. My Final Project is over the Pythagorean Theorem it was easy uploading my video and the sounds, and also changing the format to WMV so that I can uplaod it to any site that I want. I liked this project and it helped me keep up with the technology as well.

CHP: 11 and 12 Reflection
In these chapters I liked the idea that culture is a huge part of a child/students life. Not only does it show students different views, but also it teaches them lessons in life i.e. racism, prejudice etc... As teachers we have to understand those cultutres and take action when differnt cultures come into our calssrooms. So not to push anyones beliefs to the side but influence the whole class to take part in some way so no one is left alone. I like the fact that we need to encourage our students to ask questions and bring up topics that will motivate themt o think outside the box. And when they do we need to be appreciative, and not to be criticizing towards thier ideas. as teachers we need to be ready for those students that do not understand or cannot connect concepts. We have to make sure that our students are learning the material and not just memorizing to complete the assignment. When providing games or other material other than a textbook, we need to make sure every character or implication is seen in a positive light so not to create sterotypes. we need to be rolmodels for our students. The way we present ourself can have a huge outcome on how the students will react and how they will conduct themselves later in life. To allow our students to have the best education we can give them, as teachers we need to learn and refresh on not only technology , but it is a huge factor. Since technology is a huge partof our lives and shows no signs of holding back. We need to be able to provide the skills we have to our students.

Reflection On Technology Article
Oh my goodness, the article I read was very sarcastic and held my attention. I chose Digital Natives, Digital Immigrants. Six pages of inspiration to use my toys as tools. I knew that I wanted to teach my students in a different manner, but I didn't really think about technology related games, instruments, etc.. I knew I would use computers, and software's related to Collage Mathematics. There's not a whole lot out there when it comes to collage, but if I take the same idea and tweak it, I think I should be able to grasp my students attention. i liked the fact that Marc Prensky, the author of the article, talk about how we do learn on the terms of the older generation, just because it has not been modified, or the teachers feel comfortable with it. Though the educators of tomorrow are "fluent" in technology, being suppressed to follow the older generation due to lack of motivation of using their "toys".

My Story, (Extra Credit)
I have had a great life, sure some times were rocky, I've been so lucky compared to other people. As a child I’ve always been sweet and nice. Thought the best of everyone till proven other wards. Though through my childhood I’ve realized that not all people are good but there are those out there that want the best for you. My parents motivate and support me with everything I do. When I was young they supported me through ballet, my horse activities, through college and even through my mistakes. They are the best teachers I could ever have. They let me find my way through my eyes and help me even when I don’t ask. I want to be just like my parents, the person that everyone can trust, have faith in, and can rely on. They have helped me shape the women I am today. A woman they and I am proud to be. They have always made sure that me and my brother have had everything we needed or for the most part wanted. I have been blessed with such wonderful parents and I am so thankful for it.
I have always liked mathematics, though a teacher that inspired me to pursue it as a career would have to be Mrs. Kellermier. She is such a nice and supportive lady, who listened to her students wants and needs. I liked that should would explain techniques and not just show us what to do and have at it. She inspired me to teach my students in the same perspective. A teacher who did not inspire me was a science teacher whose name I have forgotten. He didn't really help any of his students learn or when they asked for help, in a way he inspired me to not teach my students that way, a complete disregard to the student's needs and wants.
Coming to ASU was not planned, I have always dream of the Ivy League schools, Harvard, Yale etc... Though I didn't keep up with my studies in high school, or have anyone tell me what I had to do in order to get to those schools. Though completing my third year here at ASU, I feel confident that I have learned what I wanted and needed to learn. Everyone here is so helpful, nice, and supportive. I don’t think I could have received that anywhere else. There's a connection that the teachers make with their students that I cannot explain. Ironically I am struggling with mathematics, though I am determined to push through, just because the mathematics department is supportive. Lately it feels like I have no time for anything to get done, even though I get a head start on my school work. I have two jobs, my horse responsibilities, the stars program, bills to be paid, and i am a full time student. I have a lot on my plate but I fully intend to finish my goal to becoming a teacher. If I can overcome these obstacles then I feel like I can do anything I set my mind on.
I hope that when I become a teacher, and have my first class, that I can be as supportive as my parents, and as the teachers in my life have done so for me. I want to be there for my students and help them understand; help them think at a higher level then when they entered my room. I want to be inspiration for them to succeed in their goals. I want to be the teacher that my students can come to or call in their time of need. I think that most teachers don't realize how much of an influence they can be to their students. The greater the influence the more the students learn from them, not just in the subject matter, but also in life situations. I want to be that impact.

Chapter 8 reflection
I liked that I now know that i should be careful with which hardware I have, not all software matches every hardware. I like the effectiveness of software not only can it help my instruction but it can also help the students. i.e. tutor, mind tool, support for conversation. Also picking a software out of the blue can damage not only me but my students as well, making sure the software is valid to my teachings is important.I also liked the 'Locate Resource' section on pg 196. the more I think about it, there are a lot more resources out there that i can use, for example videos, demonstrations, and Cd's that come with textbooks.
